Chaperone & Security Policy – 2025 Season
The Dent Schoolhouse is committed to providing a safe, fun, and family-friendly haunted attraction. To ensure the best experience for all guests, the following rules and procedures will be in effect for the 2025 season.
Chaperone Requirements
- Guests 15 years or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is 21 years of age or older.
- One chaperone may accompany up to five (5) guests ages 15 or younger.
- Chaperones must remain with their group.
- If not entering the haunted attraction, chaperones may wait in the Monster Midway with a complimentary Midway Chaperone Pass.
- Guests 16 years and older may be asked to present a valid government-issued photo ID to verify age. Failure to do so may result in denied entry.
- Guests under the age of 16 found unaccompanied will be subject to removal from the property.
Security Screening
- All guests will pass through a security checkpoint and walk-through metal detectors prior to entering the property.
- Security staff and uniformed police officers will be present throughout the event.
- All personal items are subject to search.
Prohibited Items
For the safety of all guests and staff, the following items are strictly prohibited on the property:
- Packages, backpacks, coolers, or parcels
- Weapons or firearms (including concealed carry)
- Explosives or flammables (including fireworks)
- Knives or sharp objects
- Pepper spray or mace
- Face coverings or masks that conceal identity (other than approved costume makeup for special events)
Any prohibited items discovered during security screening must be returned to your vehicle or disposed of. They will not be held for safekeeping. Possession of prohibited items may result in denied entry or ejection without refund.
Bag & Re-Entry Guidelines
- We strongly encourage guests to limit what they bring.
- Bags should be small in size; large bags may be denied entry.
- Guests who leave the property and seek to enter again will have to go through the security check-point. In extreme cases you may not be permitted to re-enter.
Code of Conduct
- All guests must follow staff instructions at all times.
- Disorderly, disruptive, or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated and may result in ejection without refund.
- Unsolicited photography or video recording that disrupts a guest’s experience or interferes with attraction operations. Filming, regardless of device, secured or unsecure, is prohibited on most rides and attractions.
Refunds
- Once tickets are purchased their are no refunds.
