Chaperone Policy
THE DENT SCHOOLHOUSE CHAPERONE POLICY
Producing a safe and fun show has always been our top priority at The Dent Schoolhouse. Incidents of unruly and inappropriate behavior have increased across the entertainment industry.
We have been a haunted attraction for 28 years and we are committed to keeping The Dent Schoolhouse as a place where everyone can come together to enjoy Cincinnati’s Halloween tradition.
As part of this commitment, we are instating a chaperone policy.
Under this policy, all guests ages 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to be admitted on the property. The policy will be in effect for all events.
The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo id with date of birth at entry to the property. One chaperone may accompany no more than 5 guests ages 15 or younger per night. The chaperone must accompany their party while in line for the attraction. The Chaperone does not have to go inside the attraction but must remain on the property until their group has exited the event. A complementary Monster Midway Chaperone Pass will be given to those (chaperones) not going inside so they can wait for their group in the Midway if they so choose.
Guests 16 years of age or older may be asked to present a valid government-issued photo id. This includes a Driver’s license, State Issued ID Card, or Passport. The date of birth will be checked at entry to verify their age. If unable to verify proof of age, guests may be denied entry onto the property.
Guests ages 15 years old or younger who are found on the grounds unaccompanied by a chaperone will be subject to ejection. This chaperone requirement applies to all Dent Schoolhouse tickets and events.
We believe these changes will help ensure that The Dent Schoolhouse continues to have a fun/positive atmosphere for all haunteseakers as they look for a night of Halloween fun!
Note: The schoolhouse is employing more in-house security along with more uniformed police as part of the updated security detail.
We love our community, and we appreciate your cooperation. We look forward to having you at the schoolhouse this year and appreciate your support of a small local business.
